University Park, PA (WJAC) — Penn State is filing a federal lawsuit against one of its longtime broadcast partners.

Learfield Communications has been a multimedia partner for various Penn State athletic teams for more than 20 years.

But with the university apparently lining up a contract with another company, Learfield is raising questions on the bidding process and other information.

Penn State filed the suit this week, claiming Learfield isn't entitled to the information, under Right-to- Know laws.

Learfield's contract with the university expires on June 1st, 2024.
